We are currently looking for an Applications Engineer to join the sales team at our site in Chicoutimi, QC.
The main responsibilities of the position:
- Evaluate sales opportunities (client data/ specs/ input from sales and engineering) and develop proposal layouts
- Put together high-level cycle time estimates (validation of required system capacities and throughput)
- Preparation of technical and commercial proposals including required concept development and application engineering
- Prepare 3-D layouts and simulations for presentations and marketing
- Develop budget estimates for jobs.
Qualifications and experience:
- Engineering degree and/or equivalent technical experience
- Ability to elaborate concepts and develop impressive sales layouts
- Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals
- Computer software knowledge (MS Office, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD)
- Creative problem solver who can apply EPIQ abilities to client needs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (one to one and one to many) in both English and French
- Ability to animate 3-D sales layouts for presentations (an asset)
- Industry knowledge of the Primary Metals markets (an asset)
- Knowledge of mechanical and controls system design in a heavy-duty material handling context (an asset)
