Engineer / Team Leader / Mechanical Design – Saint-Bruno, QC


Under the supervision of our director of mechanical engineering, you will participate in the design of plans, specifications and details from guidelines to conceptualize high-end handling machines and systems for the pulp and paper industry and/or for the primary metal manufacturing industry.


In collaboration with the team of project managers and manufacturing workshop, you will be responsible for the following tasks:


  • Ensuring the management of assigned projects in collaboration with the project manager
  • Supervising the team assigned to the project
  • Integrating equipment into our clients’ plants
  • Providing solutions (design) that take into account the set design criteria
  • In-depth knowledge of static calculation, dynamics and strength of materials
  • Knowledge of electric, pneumatic and hydraulic design elements
  • Producing documents, drawings and/or material lists for the manufacturing and assembly of equipment
  • Assisting your team of designers in verifying the quality and accuracy of their work
  • Ensuring the optimal cost of the chosen materials and components, and manufacturing and assembly procedures according to company standards
  • Supporting the project manager in meeting budgets and deadlines
  • Being occasionally available to travel to our clients’ facilities to take measurements and/or attend design reviews

Technical knowledge

Degrees and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)


Years of experience

Five or more years


Spoken and written languages

French and English professional proficiency
