EPIQ Machinery will participate in ICSOBA 2026 with an EPIQ Digital presentation. Pierre Trouiller, Product Manager, will share an approach that puts domain experts at the heart of industrial software development. The event will take place from November 15 to 20, 2026, in Bengaluru, India.

How can production teams’ knowledge be translated into software that faithfully reflects their operational realities? The InNexus™ approach starts with the processes and constraints described by domain experts. Their knowledge is formalized through structured text and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) diagrams. These models provide the basis for software generation.

The approach follows two complementary validation steps. Domain experts first validate the intended functionality. Developers then conduct the technical review, addressing robustness, cybersecurity and integration requirements.

The presentation will focus on an aluminium recycling casthouse prototype. This example illustrates how formalizing domain knowledge can bring operational requirements and software implementation closer together.
