We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at the EPIQ AD facilities in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.

 

Reporting to the Head of Culture & Talent, the Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for developing, promoting, and ensuring the application of health and safety policies, programs, and procedures. The primary goal of this role is to prevent workplace accidents and promote a culture of safety across the EPIQ AD organization.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze risks related to tasks, machinery, and work methods
  • Oversee training needs and coordinate health and safety training activities
  • Train and raise awareness among employees and managers on new processes and best practices
  • Conduct audits and compliance inspections
  • Support the implementation of a Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001)
  • Develop and implement interventions to control chemical, physical, and biological hazards
  • Support various departments in implementing core health and safety programs
  • Participate in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Develop and implement the Health and Wellness Program (PSME)
  • Coordinate health and safety initiatives across different sites, adapting to their specific needs
  • Integrate lean manufacturing and 5S principles into production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Manage audits, inspections, and reports required by regulatory authorities

What We’re Looking For:

  • College or university degree in Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Health and safety certification (e.g., CSP, CRSP) is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of applicable Quebec health and safety laws and regulations
  • Significant experience in health and safety within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles
