Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mechanical Team Supervisor, the assembly mechanic is responsible for assembling various mechanical components on the vehicles and equipment manufactured or repaired by the company. This includes assembling hydraulic or pneumatic systems (lines, components, fittings, etc.), commissioning equipment, and performing pre-operational tests. More specifically, the mechanic must:
- Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for various vehicles and equipment produced by the company.
- Perform tasks in accordance with data, instructions, and specifications provided by the engineering department.
- Carry out required tests and quality checks (PDI, torque, leak tests, etc.) and complete quality reports.
- Start up equipment and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Ensure mechanical assembly tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Comply with company policies and occupational health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Vocational diploma in mechanics.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics or industrial mechanics.
- Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical controls.
