We are currently looking for a Commissioning Manager to join our Service team at our St-Bruno-de-Montarville, QC location.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Commissioning Supervisor, the Commissioning Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating activities related to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), installation, and equipment startup phases. They act as the main point of contact between internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure efficient execution and compliance with requirements.
Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager (PM) to plan the FAT schedule;
- Organize pre-FAT meetings to align expectations with the PM;
- Own the spare parts list prior to FAT.
Installation Management:
- Approve equipment dismantling after FAT;
- Initiate installation discussions with the client early on;
- Plan installation and startup activities, including dates and manpower requirements.
Client Relations:
- Manage client interactions starting from the installation phase;
- Confirm with the client the required on-site personnel and any additional requirements;
- Anticipate job site and installation-related needs.
Supplier Coordination:
- Act as the liaison between all suppliers present on site;
- Provide detailed, almost hour-by-hour planning to the client during shutdown periods;
- Handle on-site emergencies.
Budget and Change Management:
- Manage client change requests and additional costs;
- Produce daily progress reports on site activities;
- Monitor the budget allocated for installation and commissioning.
Verification and Follow-up:
- Review shipping lists for equipment;
- Coordinate client billing related to commissioning and startup;
- Ensure the spare parts list is ordered following FAT;
- Manage the FAT and site punch lists.
Documentation:
- Track red-line drawing updates and ensure operation manuals are updated accordingly.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, project management, or a related field;
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the industrial sector;
- Strong project management skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders;
- Solid understanding of equipment installation and startup processes;
- Proficiency with planning tools and budget management;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Bilingual (French and English) – significant communication in English at the international level.
